Youston Becomes Belgium’s Largest Digitization Company
Pieter Vansynghel, CEO of Youston: “We are delighted to have been able to close this deal. With the acquisition of iGuana, we tripled in size in one fell swoop. In addition, we acquire specific knowledge and applications that are complementary to Youston’s existing service offering.”
Why this acquisition?
The complementarity of the service portfolios makes it possible to offer both Youston and iGuana customers a more extensive and complete range of services. In addition to the current archiving and digitization applications, the integration of the iDM platform that allows documents to be archived and consulted will become Youston’s crown jewel.
With a single, unique, and centralized solution Youston can index, digitize and make the entire archive of companies and organizations available via a secure platform. This is an advantage for companies and governmental organizations to facilitate working from home while remaining fully operational.
After commissioning of the new archive building in October 2020, Youston reached a total archiving capacity of 500 km. Following the acquisition, we are now also increasing our scanning capacity to more than 1.000.000 pages per day.
For the customer this translates into added value within every digitization project. Thanks to the combination of digitization services, a digital platform and “Track & Trace” functionalities, customers have immediate access to all their documents. “Youston is once again taking a leap forward”, says COO Pascal Hermans.
We also acquire the Austrian manufacturer of book scanners Qidenus. Qidenus has a worldwide reputation for scanning books for leading museums and libraries, such as the Holocaust Museum in Washington. We developed our own scanners for this, which we build in Vienna. With own database for high-end images, these unique books are digitized so they can remain accessible forever and so that our heritage is preserved.
