Scanning process
Our experienced document preparation & digitization operators are trained to handle files with care and confidentiality. First, they take care of the grunt work such as removing staples, paper clips, post-its etc. Next, they glue them to separate scannable pages to ensure a smooth scan.
All documents get scanned and lastly your files get indexed automatically, manually or using a combination of both. While some documents might require manual indexing (such as records containing hardly legible handwriting), most documents get indexed with AI and sophisticated recognition technologies such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR), Optical Mark Recognition (OMR), and barcode recognition.
Once scanned and indexed, the documents (and their metadata) get delivered to you in your chosen format, e.g., PDF, PDF/A, TIFF, JPEG, XML, CSV, etc. Ready for import into your existing systems.

Plan to access the files in your archive on a regular basis? No problem. Digitizing your entire archive is the Youston solution for you. We’ll take care of the certified destruction afterwards. - “I need to digitize valuable documents.”
If your archive consists of items that cannot be destroyed after digitization (e.g., valuable books), we will return them to you at the end of the scanning project.
Artfactory
At Youston Group, each and every document is scanned using the high-quality scanner most appropriate for its type and size. For instance, A4 documents in good condition are scanned using special high-speed rotary document scanners. Fast and functional.
Large format documents however (such as construction blueprints or engineering drawings) are scanned using specialized wide format scanners.

Robotic Book scanners
The ROBO SCAN is a robotic A2+ to A1 book scanner that can process books up to a thickness of 35 cm. The ROBO SCAN scanners work with a very high optical resolution. For more fragile, rare or delicate books, the robot function can be switched off, after which the ROBO SCAN changes into a manual book scanner up to A0 size. The ROBO SCAN scanner is also available with a V-shaped bookkeeper and glass plate.
